3.3 - The main menu

The main menu gives you access to all the functions of moveon. They are grouped into various areas of use, which can be accessed using the buttons in the left-hand part of the menu:

• Institutions
• Mobilities
• Fundings
• Internal contacts
• Statistics
• e-mobility
• moveonline
• Interfaces
• Configuration

Clicking one of the buttons in the menu displays all the associated functions in the frame in the centre of the menu. They can be accessed by clicking their title. There are various types of functions:

• Data management forms, with names ending with "...data". You can view, add, edit or delete data for students, staff, institutions, etc., in these forms (see section 3.4 Data forms).
• Selection forms, with names beginning with "Selection...". In these forms you can select the data entered in moveon (institutions, contacts, mobilities, grants, etc.) according to various criteria. A number of advanced functions are available based on these selections: create lists, correspondence, export (see section 3.5 Selection forms)
  
• Configuration forms (see Chapter 4 Configuration).
• Specific forms (e-mobility, statistics, moveonline, interfaces, etc.).

The year (which is used for reference throughout the software) and the name of the institution appear at the top of the screen. This data can be edited in the "General settings" form (see section 4.1 General settings).

The "Comments" frame can be used to enter comments intended for all users. Click the Edit button to enter your comments in this frame.

The "moveon news" frame contains the latest news about moveon. This information is updated in real time. Click the Internet button to access the full text.

The "moveonnet" frame allows you to view the data for your institution in the moveonnet portal. Click the Internet button to update your data.

Finally, four buttons in the upper part of the window can be used to open the About window, to view your user profile and change your password, to view the online help and to exit from moveon.
